US Consumer Confidence Rebounded in May

US consumer confidence rebounded to 83.0 in May 2014, thereby matching market expectations following a downwardly revised 81.7 reading in April (previously reported as 82.3). The current employment differential improved to -18.2 from -19.8 in April (was -19.6) as the percentage of respondents reporting jobs were "plentiful" increased by 1.1 percentage points.
