US Oct. Consumer Confidence Drops, Details Point to a Weak Oct. Employment Report

The Conference Board announced that US October Consumer Confidence plunged to 71.2 vs. consensus expectations of 75.0, which was down from a positively revised 80.2 in September (from 79.7) - This was the biggest miss since March 2013, and the month-over-month drop was the largest since August 2011.
